What do inches mean when it comes to bikes? The inch size refers to the diameter of the wheel. 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
- 28 inch is the standard for all Cortina city and women’s bikes. Every Cortina adult bike comes with 28-inch wheels.
- 26 and 24 inch wheels are found on Cortina kids’ bikes, such as the Cortina U4 Transport Mini.
You can always find the wheel size of a Cortina bike on its product page, under Specifications → Wheel Size. Apart from kids’ bikes, all Cortina models come with 28-inch wheels.
28 inch: the standard choice
Most bikes with 28-inch wheels are perfect for riders from around 1.55 m tall and up. They offer stability, comfort, and are ideal for everyday use. That’s why all Cortina e-bikes and city bikes feature 28-inch wheels.
When to choose a bike with 26-inch wheels
For younger riders, Cortina offers the Cortina U4 Mini with 24- or 26-inch wheels. Teens who are tall enough can usually step up to a 28-inch bike.
