Who can write a review on the Cortina website about products?

We believe it’s important for as many consumers as possible to share their opinions about a Cortina bike. Therefore, anyone who has purchased a product through our website or at a Cortina retailer can write a review about it on our website.

Will I receive a request to review the product after purchase?

If you ordered the Cortina bike via our website and picked it up at the chosen retailer, you will receive a review request by email about two weeks after your purchase. If you prefer not to leave a review and do not want to receive a reminder, you can unsubscribe through the email. If you purchased the bike directly at a Cortina retailer, you will not receive a review request.

All reviews count equally. The total average score per bike is the average of all reviews. All ratings are added together and divided by the total number of reviews.

How long does it take for a review to appear on the website?

To prevent misuse and/or offensive language, all reviews are first read by an employee. This means it may take several days for a review to appear on the website. You will receive a confirmation email once your review is posted. If your review is approved or rejected, you will also receive an email notification.

How does Cortina handle negative reviews about products?

We treat all reviews the same way.

How is the (automatic) ranking of reviews determined?

The ranking of reviews is based on the posting date.

Review reliability

How does Cortina verify the authenticity of reviews?

We believe it’s important that only real reviews are shown on our website. Therefore, we only invite you to write a review if you’ve purchased a bike through our website. All reviews are read and evaluated by a Cortina employee.

We only reject a review if it doesn’t meet the requirements, including:

  • The review is shorter than 4 words.
  • The review contains contact information such as phone numbers, addresses, or URLs.
  • The review includes websites or YouTube channels.
  • The review only describes the service of the retailer and does not discuss the aspects of the bike. A brief mention of the retailer’s service in a few sentences is acceptable, but the review must mainly focus on the bike.
  • The review contains offensive language, such as profanity or discrimination.
  • A review may contain spelling mistakes, consist of one sentence, or be negative about the product.

Paid reviews

Does Cortina also post reviews in exchange for payment or rewards?

We do not post reviews on our website where the consumer is paid or rewarded in any way by us. For example, we do not offer discounts or free accessories in exchange for writing a review.
